Praise the Lord for The Great Awakening. I am so excited to see what God is doing here at the River Church of Tampa Bay and all around the world. What an amazing thing that God has done by opening a way to TV broadcast through CTN to reach the world about the good news of Jesus Christ. I am praying that not one soul that passes by the CTN station can move from the channel but that through the Holy Spirit they will be saved. I am so thankful for Pastors Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne and for never deviating from the true meaning of fulfilling the great commission. Savings souls are the heartbeat of their ministry for Jesus Christ. This is the 5th night of services and the testimonies are life changing. The responses of salvations around the world are uncountable. Even to distances unknown. I know that God is doing something so BIG and it is just the beginning. I haven’t been able to get to the night services but I watch into the late night and feel the anointing of God. The freedom of Jesus Christ is being sent around the world. Hallelujah! I was lost but now I am found! A touch from God has changed my life! He is real, so real. The Holy Spirit and the gift of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is real. Jesus has come and has saved me! Everyone needs to know that He died for them. The greatest gift ever given was Jesus. –Sarah H.
Wow… what an amazing time in the presence of the Lord. On Sunday when the Great awakening began on Sunday night, I worked in the call center till 3am and that was truly a live changing experience! People got so hungry for God on the phones. Thursday night I was just ready to receive what God had for me, little did I know it was going to be totally life changing. God worked in an awesome way and He just made that consuming fire on the inside of me burning bigger and bigger. When you allow God to work in your soul, everything will change around and in you. He is such a loving and compassionate God, you won’t want to settle for anything less. When you first experienced that anointing, you won’t want to leave. When God steps in the picture everything changes for the good. Rivers of living water will flow out of your belly and you will just feel God’s presence in such an awesome way that you would trade it for nothing. Get hungry for God; just get more and more hungrier so that God can do His supernatural work. Let Him mold and shape you. He sees the potential in us and nothing is more satisfying for Him to see us use it to benefits His kingdom. We just need to press in more and get that hunger on the inside of us to just be what God wants us to be.- Zante P.

Pampenella Adonica, thank you for spending time talking to me and praying for me this afternoon, you have no idea how much it meant to me.
Sunday, February 01, 2009 Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house would you build for Me? And what kind can be My resting-place? 2 For all these things My hand has made, and so all these things have come into being [by and for Me], says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands. Isaiah 66:1-2 AMP
Almighty God created everything that exists—the universe and everything in it—including man. As He has declared: heaven is My throne and earth is My footstool! Yet men have not reverentially feared the Lord, as they should have and as He is worthy of, and have exalted themselves, thinking that they are more than what they really are. This was the devil’s mistake. He dared to exalt his throne above the throne of God!
The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines. 25 Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, for it is He Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all [people]. Acts 17:24-25 AMP
Men have exalted themselves by casting God aside—the very God to whom they owe their very existence; the God who gave them their life and breath—treating Him as if He is irrelevant, ignoring and disregarding Him as if He is only an invention of man. On the other hand, men have exalted themselves, believing that they could actually build Him buildings that could contain Him. There is no building that could be built—no matter how magnificent by man’s standards—that is a worthy dwelling for our God! So great is He!
Just because you think you are really something—doesn’t mean that you are. You can choose your own way and your own path, but it is the road to nowhere. God is not interested in what you can do for Him or impressed by what you can build for Him. He is only interested in what is in your heart. The man or woman whom God will regard, whom He is looking for and whom He cares about, are the ones who are altogether humble before God. There are many who claim humility, and yet are not, because they are proud of their humility. It is only a surface humility and makes God sick. He especially hates hypocrisy. God has respect and regard for the one who trembles at his word and reveres His commands!
If you are indeed a humble person, you will highly respect God’s word. God, and the rest of us, will all see and know this when we see how personally you take His word to you. We will see it by whether or not you act on God’s word, instead of just talking about it, and we will see it by how promptly you obey His commands. This is the only true measure of humility. John 4:24 AMP says that, “God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” Worship that is acceptable to God is worship that is absolutely sincere, coming straight from the heart.
But in every nation he who venerates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcomed [by Him]. Acts 10:35 AMP
God is NO respecter of persons. Anyone—no matter who you are; no matter what you have done; no matter what your nationality—can be acceptable to God on the basis of worshipful obedience!
And a sense of awe (reverential fear) came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles (the special messengers). Acts 2:43 AMP
So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect and reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation and exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase and was multiplied. Acts 9:31 AMP
The respect and reverential fear of God was a hallmark of the early church. When Jesus is your First Love, you will give Him the place of honor in your heart and life!
Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1 AMP
Let’s not miss out on any of the wonderful things God has in store for us. Let’s consecrate ourselves afresh to reverence Him—to humble ourselves before Him, to get rid of all sin and pride, and to remind ourselves how precious, how wonderful, how powerful and how magnificent our God is and how worthy He is to receive all our praise, honor, adoration and obedience!
For thus says the high and lofty One—He Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, but with him also who is of a thoroughly penitent and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the thoroughly penitent [bruised with sorrow for sin]. Isaiah 57:15 AMP
The Lord is high and lifted up—there is none like Him in the heavens and in the earth. He is the Creator—the mighty one —no one can stand before Him. He inhabits eternity—He has no beginning and no end—He is the great I AM. He is Holy and righteous. But one thing He is not—He is not proud or arrogant. Psalms 113:5-6 AMP says, “Who is like the Lord our God, Who has His seat on high, 6 Who humbles Himself to regard the heavens and the earth!” Even though He is so powerful, He chooses to humble Himself to reach down and see us, reach out to us and care for us. It is because of His great love—God IS Love (1 John 4:8+16)!
For though the Lord is high, yet has He respect to the lowly [bringing them into fellowship with Him]; but the proud and haughty He knows and recognizes [only] at a distance. Psalms 138:6 AMP
The Lord says that it is only those who are thoroughly humble and penitent who will be permitted to dwell with Him in eternity. The Lord cannot forgive anyone—as much as He would like to—unless they repent. Repentance is an acknowledgement of God’s supreme authority over your life. Without acknowledging God’s authority—you will not receive His grace—because you are self-sufficient and don’t think you need Him, keeping yourself at a distance. True repentance is when you are broken with sorrow over your sin. Without it you cannot appreciate nor receive the grace, forgiveness and restoration of the Father. Then He will revive and strengthen the heart of the humble—those submitted to Him and to His Word.
Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] 6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, 7 But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. 8 And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Philippians 2:5-8 AMP
Jesus did not go to the cross for His own benefit—He went for yours and mine! He humbled Himself and lowered Himself to be born in the body of a man, to suffer, to die and to give His whole life for us all. He is our example in humility. Just as Jesus humbled Himself to die for us, so we must humble ourselves to repent and accept the free gift of God poured out in His blood.
Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven! Matthew 5:3 AMP
The Kingdom of heaven will be filled with the humble-hearted. The proud will make their own way and be lost for all eternity. In Matthew 7:13-14 NIV Jesus says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” How sad that so many people are too proud to consider or acknowledge what great things God has done and provided for them. There are no difficult or impossible things that God asks of us in return for eternity with Him in glory and peace and joy. All He asks is that we hear Him and humble ourselves to do it His way.
And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. 4 Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me. Matthew 18:3-5 AMP
Some people are so busy being a “grown-up”, they have become closed and hardened. They have allowed the devil —the god of this world to blinded their minds, preventing them from seeing and receiving the truth of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). We must not be so stuck up—we must become as humble and teachable as children so that we can receive all the great blessings that the Father has for us through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, 10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 AMP
Because Jesus willingly stooped so low—He became highly exalted. Now every creature in heaven, on earth and even under the earth must bow their knee to Him and confess Him as Lord! If we will humble ourselves, God will exalt us into His very family and His very presence—forever! How wonderful is that? What a blessing and a privilege!
But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it). James 4:6 AMP
So go ahead and humble yourself so that you will be able to receive all of God’s undeserved grace and mercy!
This Ministers Conferences was great this was the first time I went all week before. There were a lot of things I learned from this conference. One of the things that got my attention from Pastor Rodney was when he was talking about taking care of your body. How he used to go from city to city sleeping in between car rides. Pastor Rodney when he was over weight he used to eat out and just eat a whole bunch with out restraint. Pastor Rodney said that if you don’t take care of this vessel then you will hinder the work that God wants to do through you.
The apostle Maldanado from Miami was one of the ministers that grabbed my attention. He was speaking on the anointing and the glory. He said that in the anointing you work but in the glory you rest. The anointing is the power of God and the glory is the presence of God. The anointing is for earth not heaven because there is no sick or lack in heaven.
What the Lord has been showing me is to keep pressing in to his presence. It’s been a challenging year for me but God has definitely brought me out of every circumstance and still is. God has shown me great things this year and I can’t wait to what he’s going to do next year. Next year is going to be a great year I learned so much at the conference that I would not be able to fit it in my paper. I can’t wait until the next conference comes.
This testimony is of God’s divine protection and everlasting grace. While working in a industrial factory, i was electrocuted with 3 phase/480 volts and walked away to live again. There was witnesses, the electrician and people who have been working with high voltage for years said it was miracle i was still alive, they could not understand it. Thank you Jesus for saving me and thank you to Pastor Rodney and the pastoral staff for keeping the River Family in prayer.
I was in a parking lot shared Jesus with a lady she received Christ i saw her later and she said pain in her stomach had gone .
I went to 2 hospitals and i got to pray with 289 people i preyed with 2 police officers both of them received Christ 1 of them started weeping there was a man in a wheelchair prayed for him and he said he feels electricity in his legs.
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to take part in the thousand toy give away at the River at Tampa Bay church. This was the second year that I was able to participate in this event and let me tell you what an event it was. I arrived on the property at 7 am on Sunday December 13, 2009 and people were already here waiting for the toy give away. I could see the excitement in the children’s eyes as they stood there in line dreaming about what they were going to do with their new toys. It was such a blessing to me because you usually don’t see that kind of excitement around the church anymore. As time passed during the morning the crowd grew larger and larger. As I stood outside looking over the crowd I couldn’t help but be touched because I saw all different colors and races of people getting along. There was such a peace in the mist of all of the “confusion”. There was no strife, and usually there would be when different races get together. It was a beautiful thing. It was all about the children.
Another thing that I loved about this day was that yes we gave out toys to bless all those in need, but before they received anything they had to hear the word of God. We all know that Gods word cannot return void so some people (349 people to be exact) ended up receiving more that just toys they received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I have been a part of out reaches that just bless the community but they don’t preach the word to them. To me that is like giving a man a fish instead of teaching him how to fish for himself. People learned how to bait their hooks this week and who knows what they will learn next week. Overall I thought Sunday was a raging success but it was just a warm up compared to this week Glory to God!
Before the sun broke through the eastern sky or the morning fog lifted, the River Church at Tampa Bay was alive with excitement. Tables being set up, toys being organized, groups of 40 meeting here and groups of 50 meeting there was the 6 am order. By 8am, charter buses and RMI vans were zooming through the streets of Tampa, Florida picking up eager men, women, and children for the Sunday morning main event hosted by Pastors Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne and their River Church team.
As we approached 9:30am, hundreds packed the auditorium and lifted their voices toward heaven in adoration and praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Many were touched by His glorious presence as the words of Jesus, delivered by Pastor Rodney, rang true in the hearts of the people. Tears of joy and shouts of freedom declared deliverance, healing, and salvation throughout the congregation as the hearers opened their hearts to receive the powerful, life giving truth that is only found in the living Word of God. The words, “Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin…” echoed from wall to wall as 349 of the 1335 people in attendance opened their hearts to the King of Glory, Jesus Christ. Moments later, dozens were empowered by receiving the mighty baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The day was capped with the rear parking lot of the River Church being flooded with a sea of children receiving free Christmas toys. Children ages 0-16 went home with bikes, toy trucks, stuffed animals, dolls, make-up sets, board games, and the like. Smiles on faces and joy filled laughter were the order of the mid-afternoon.
As hundreds journeyed home that day, their hearts turned to next Sunday as many began to look forward to our next meeting here at the River Church and their new found family and home.
This class was very informative not only intellectually, but supernaturally. It taught us about family values; for husbands and wives, your children and siblings. Pastor Adonica even touched on dating for the younger group. Really, this class is telling how we should live as born again Christians and the attitudes of heart we should have.
I learned that obedience is better than sacrifice. Pastor Adonica said that if we really love God, then we obey him. It is so funny how God works, the Holy Spirit had been telling me to start getting up at 5:30 every morning to spend time in the Word of God. Then after the time in the Word of God,
I knew I was supposed to start jogging. I had just begun doing that a few days before this class started
and was already reaping the benefits. Then this class just confirmed that no matter what the Spirit of God tells you to do, do it!
It was taught that God speaks to your heart, not your head. One of the most common words used for heart is “interior organ”. The number one most used is “center of who you are”. God speaks to this organ, because it is the center of who you are! Pastor Adonica said that scientifically the heart is just like a second brain and to think all it does is pump blood! If you don’t listen to your heart, you stress your body out. I remember when I was a child my father told me once that all a heart does is pump blood to our body. I can’t wait to tell him this!
